SIAEYC Membership Information
Let us work together for excellence in Early Childhood Education — Southern Illinois Association for the Education of Young Children (SIAEYC) is an affiliate of the National Association for the Young Children (NAEYC).
We believe that early childhood educators are professionals who should be valued and respected. Join us to promote high professional standards, comprehensive training opportunities, and equitable compensation and working conditions so that qualified early childhood educators will stay and grow in this important field.

Comprehensive Members
Your best buy for staying up-to-date with professional resources in early childhood education. Comprehensive members receive all the benefits of regular membership described below and receive five or six books a year immediately after their release by NAEYC.
Regular and Student members receive:
- Six issues of Young Children magazine each year
- SIAEYC newsletter
- Illinois News, a quarterly publication of ILAEYC
- Voting rights in SIAEYC, NAEYC and ILAEYC elections
- Reduced fees at SIAEYC, NAEYC, ILAEYC conferences
- Free SIAEYC meetings and workshops
- Opportunities to receive scholarships and grants
- Opportunities to participate in a variety of insurance plans
- Opportunities to purchase books and videos for professional development (if you join at the Comprehensive Level, you will also receive, throughout the year, six books published by NAEYC)
Student
Available only to students currently enrolled in at least 6 hours of professional preparation programs (CDA, associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree).
Promote public support and policies for young children.
Together we can help to increase understanding and support for high-quality early childhood education among policymakers and the public through a wide range of education, advocacy, and public awareness activities, including our annual Week of the Young Child celebration.
Membership must be for an individual, not a center or school.
